Currently based in regional Victoria on Taungurung lands, Gemma is an arts facilitator with extensive experience in event delivery and organisation management gained over 20 years in Australia, Scotland and Aotearoa New Zealand.
As General Manager with Craft Victoria, she works alongside the Executive Director managing a small team to implement and monitor the organisation's strategic objectives and on the planning, production and delivery of Craft Victoria’s projects and events..
Previously, Gemma has worked in organisations in the creative, NFP and government sectors including the Victorian Performing Arts Market, The Arts Centre of Christchurch, Scottish Cultural Enterprise and RMIT Creative as well as with a diverse array of festivals, community arts organisations and private foundations including Wild@HeART, the Woodend Winter Arts Festival, Kyneton Music Festival and the SR Stoneman Foundation.
A strong interest in governance and giving has lead to past tenures on the boards of RMIT Union Arts and Windarring Disability Services and she is a founding board member of the visual arts philanthropic trust, The Macfarlane Fund.
Gemma has a staffy named Barbara Jacinda Robertson and has been known to show-off at yoga.
